Unbelievable!
So I got my illustration digitally printed on 100 organic cotton carrier bags and it was supposed to be delivered by the 1st of April, so I could sell it when I went to London. Since it didn't arrive in time, I thought i'll just sell it in Bham as it will be nice and sunny and everyone will be out and about. Yesterday, it didn't arrive. Today, still hasnt..... so what is the deal?? I called and apparently my order has not even been put through despite the confirmation emails and payment...which was made on 17th March. Since that is not happening though the company said they are looking into it. I'm going to have to come up with an alternative supporting project since I doubt the report itself is enough. So while eating pizza I came up with an idea, I will just design a bunch of illustrations that are appropriate to be put on the bag... Since the survey I put out showed that more people are likely to buy cotton carrier bag if they have nice designs.

When In London
After my visit to London, I am now inspired by all the high-street brands and what they have to offer. I mean London is definitely not like the rest of England. And the choices available is abundance! So, I am going to make this easier for you and help you guide through all the options available, to my preference ofcourse! But before I get there, I will share a bit of my trip to you guys.
So I had to go to London to apply for my visa for Florence, arrived there around lunch on Tuesday and the weather was well, gloomy and cold. Rushed to the embassy, waited for 2 hours till I was called. Meanwhile, I observed a lot of well dressed orientals, myself not so included as I was so tired and was starting to what is now a cold. Afterwards, headed to Soho Joe pizza place. I truly recommend it, it was amazing and the decor was so rustic and cozy.
The next day, the weather was by far the most beautiful this year, 20 degrees and super sunny. Everyone looked beautiful, all the SS 2011 trends can be seen on everyone mixed with their personal style. And for those who are still shopping, and might be a bit overwhelmed by all the options available. I am hoping to help guide through it all and to find the best of the best, from maxi dreses, midi skirts, color, fringe, wedge to palazzo pants....at affordable prices and all available on their websites.
Here goes my attempt.

Joe Rolph
Today I will be sharing someone special with you guys. His name is Joe Rolph, and he is a very talented illustrator and moreover, a very dear friend of mine. His work always makes me want to take him on a day trip and just watch him draw for the day. Not creepy at all! It really is such a simple pleasure watching him draw the most simplest things, for example, a leaf. Knowing Joe, and seeing his work first hand, his work is best when it is the most detailed. It seriously is intimate.
In a few days, he will be traveling to my homeland Thailand....represent! Hope you have a great time and don't forget to eat mangostein and sticky rice (Khao niew Ma muang).
and here are some of his stuff for the clothing brand White Stuff:

Birthday Boxing Day
Hello :), sorry for the lack of updates the last day or two, it has been my birthday so I've been constantly kidnapped. The good news is, I went to Bristol yesterday and I found an artist I really like, Tim Lane. It is usually not my kind of style, but I have a friend who likes Ralph Steadman and I've learned to appreciate his work, and in my eyes they bare a lot of similarities, must be the sketchy lines. So I thought I'd share this. His work is inspired by the colorful and ceremonial rites of ancient cultures; "celebrating the cycle of life and their provisions for death and the afterlife, music and the transforming quality of performance, characterful faces, faded glory and the fragility of life and civilization."

Illamasque-SS 2011 Toxic Nature
First of, happy birthday eve to me! Went to Illamasque as my final destination to buy my very first orange lipstick. Ended up buying 3 items (one of them being purple :) 'fetish'), and one free nail polish! They have a new SS 2011 collection out, and I seriously recommend the new color 'Flare'. I also love their ad campaigns, it really isn't your usual beauty ad, but it just works.
